Caribbean Black Cake/Rum Cake (box cake-cake mix) Makes One 9 Inch Cake (1lb 13 oz cake mix-box cake…unbaked) (baked 1lb 11oz) Caribbean Black Cake/Rum Cake ….complete cake mix kit Box Cake Includes: 1 cake mix package 1 fruit mix package 1 rum packet you will need: 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 2 large eggs Directions: preheat oven to 375 f for metal and glass pans grease sides and bottom of pan with butter flour lightly Blend eggs and vegetable oil for 10 seconds, then add cake mix and blend on low speed until moistened. (about 30 seconds) Add fruit mix and blend for 1 minute. Pour batter into baking pan and bake immediately. Bake in the center of oven at 375 f for 55 minutes. Cool: when cake is finished baking, immediately remove from oven and allow cake to cool to room temperature (about 1 1/2 hour) After cake has cooled pour rum over cake. Best served 24-48 hours after baked. Pan Size 9 in dia x 1.5 in D (22.9 cm X 3.81 cm)
