Nice Quality Deodorized Cocoa Butter This is a high quality cocoa butter that is deodorized. Even deodorized cocoa butter has a slight chocolate scent but I was able to use it to make lotion bars and the essential oil I added for scent came through nicely. The last batch I made with organic raw non-deodorized was overpowering with chocolate and ruined the ability to smell the added essential oil or fragrance oil that I used.
It’s a bit greasy but it has very little scent and it left my skin beautifully soft. I will look into adding it to … I’ve used products with cocoa butter before but never raw cocoa butter by itself. I wanted something to use myself, not to make soap or bath products. I was a bit thrown off by the way it comes: it’s a large sealed bag with chunks of product which you break off. It was rock solid and I didn’t know how to use instead of a lotion as I intended. I ended up microwaving a small piece and using it as a lotion. It’s a bit greasy but it has very little scent and it left my skin beautifully soft. I will…
only slightly deodorized still a bit too chocolate-ish than the last deodorized cocoa butter I got from another supplier last time. Although I haven’t used it yet, I suspect that it will make my rosemary/lavender body butter have some chocolate undertones that I really don’t want. Wish deodorized really meant deodorized! But other than the scent it looks and feels great even before combined with my other ingredients.
